Feel free to make announcements here: workshops, (sessions in) conferences, interesting papers, databases, etc. Anything goes as long as it is TK/TKTD related.

BYOM v6.0 BETA 6 launched

Post by Tjalling »

Today, I released BYOM v. 6.0 BETA 6 through the website: http://debtox.info/byom.html. This is the first version of v.6.0 that is released to the world (earlier beta versions where spread to specific people, and beta 5 was used in the DynModTox course). I keep it as beta for now for a few reasons:
  • The BYOM packages are not yet compatible with this new version 6.0. Modification is not too problematic, but I need to check the packages carefully. For that reason, the old BYOM v.5.2 still remains available.
  • I am working a a few new packages, and they may well require modifications of the engine functions.
  • I made a lot of small changes to reduce the number of warnings that Matlab 2021b throws at me (and there's still some warnings left that are not so easy to get rid of).
I have updated the walkthrough and the on-line manual as well. The latter still needs more content, though.

BYOM v.6.0 has a lot of new and improved features, which will be demonstrated in several upcoming packages and modifications of existing packages. I will tackle the packages next, but it may take a while before I modified/checked them all. Major new feature is the possibility to use Matlab’s parallel processing toolbox. Furthermore, several functions for moving time window EPx calculations, and code to facilitate DEBtox calculations.
